Transcript of long interview with President Frida Sylvestre, part three.
Interviewer:
Now Madam President, could you tell us more about daily life as experienced by human beings before the coming of WE, and how she might have altered society, as well as societal values you and most people once abide by?
Frida Sylvestre:
Oh sure, yes, of course, I can try to do that. Long ago, before WE, most people were quite content of belonging to society, to be used and abused, or kept in the dark, as they were conducted like docile cattle. One could even say most people were tacitly and purposefully made unaware of real life consequences resulting from their own personal choices and actions, as they were mostly driven by ready made religious dogmas, political consensus, and traditions. Such controlling belief systems could never tolerate any form of dissent, so to question things most people took for granted was never seriously contemplated, even things which adversely affected people's health, their own self, or considerations that impacted the people and beings they loved and cared about the most, let alone any harm and uneasiness routinely caused to unknown others.
Then people in affluent regions, the so-called western world, started to move away from dogmas and traditions, embracing the ideas of progress and profit over anything else, and doing so, really got carried away. Losing their ways and looking for answers where there were none, people let their primal survival instincts ruled unchecked, as allegiances and agreements became fragile and fallible things, and word given meant almost nothing for anyone but the few. Such traits, while being observed, studied, then leveraged by anyone relying on marketing professionals, meant we were ready for some long due societal changes.
I:
Such strong stances...
FS:
Maybe. Then, if you consider the price paid for such nonchalance, or how it was often paired with self loathing, self medication, backward thinking, relentless scheming, and egotistical overstimulation, one has to admit we may have done better, sooner. Many did, just not many enough, or at the very least, not fast enough. That was until people got to know WE, which changed all things personal and societal. It changed how we saw ourselves, how we apprehended Nature, and how we related to the Living. It changed how we used sciences and technologies for social advancement, not just in relation to some bottom line and profit margin. WE empowered us to individually become key players on the world's stage, not just pretending actors, or placid spectators.
I:
Could you be more specific on the subject of our collective past? Bring some examples?
FS:
Come on! You want details? Please, gimme a break! For a few millennium, humans have written and left countless accounts of their own grandeur, miseries, and shortcomings. It's all there for us to read about, or listen to. Then, crafted for over a hundred and fifty years, millions of hours of audio and video productions are left for us to reflect and muse upon, to educate ourselves on the subject of our collective past. You do not need my own account of it. It's all there for you to contemplate, and figure out...
I:
Alright then. Anything to add about the impacts of WE, Madam President?
FS:
Yes. Again, I dare to say that WE saved us. It saved the world as a whole, it sure did. WE helped us, individually, then collectively, it channelled all the good parts in us, while making sure we could use the others parts for growing our life forces, without undue conflict, tension or destruction. We owe WE our actual renaissance and prosperity, our very survival as a species, and this statement finds echoes in all places. What a relief, a global relief!
I:
Aren't you wearing heart shaped rosy glasses right now? There are opposing forces to WE, as everybody knows...
FS:
You're right. But you know what? These people are right too. They oppose our guilty conscience in some ways. Their message is simple: don't get lazy, don't drop your guard, don't fall asleep while leading your life, anything WE may apparently stand for is already part of your inner knowledge, should you ever care to address it. And I should know, as I'm myself part of the sceptics, as I've always been. But I can't help myself observing how most people are better off with WE in their life, how our world changed for the better since her. Say whatever you want, results speaks for themselves.
I:
Alright. So, what's next?
FS:
Next? We build on it. We finish healing our paradise. Then we aim for the sky.
