Both records are simply astonishing, with unforgettably poignant melodies, obvious uplifting qualities, and unfathomable beauty. Both come from the same place: grieving, the loss of loved ones. That's a very special place in ourselves, were expired people we shared life with continue to live, never to die again.
I've known the grieving process to consistently provide more than death of loved ones ever took from me. Not obviously, and surely not at first. But with time. Every loved one expiring, as a testament to my own eventual expiration, with growing acceptance for what it means, whatever that is. Like having the fear of the unknown replaced with the simple joy of being. With the occasion to reflect on one's past, at will and beautifully, from the firmament of all souls.
Again, both records, equally exquisite music.
