One thing we should get from all the dramas we watch, is that life can be complicated, messy, with endless ramifications. More so because we yearn for ever simplistic explanations to everything happening to us, or other's. We contently shoot tons of 'this has to happen because that has happened before' statements all day long, then we immediately look online for every bit of validation we can find. So we can formulate a quick judgment on any situation touching us, or other's. And we think we are smarter for it, as we immediately ask for quicker justice. But justice we never get, mainly because we have no clue about what justice really is, in principle, and in real life. No, what we really are after is dirty quick easy fast revenge and retribution without breaking a sweat, done deal. Think mob hanging on the outskirts of town deal type. Shame on all of us for thinking and acting like that.
I will not tell you what to think or what to do with your own life, or other's. I'll just say that: every person arrested on charges pertaining to a suspected criminal offence should trigger an examination process aiming at fully and completely understanding all possible causes that may have lead to the said crime. Condemnation of any criminally responsible person should be an afterthought, if anything. Because every crime is nothing but a glitch informing us that we, as people living in a society, have failed at something important, more likely lots of many important things. And we keep failing every fraction of every second of every day. How can we live knowing we participate in such social sickness?
